Company praised after urgent request for help

When Nippon Gases came to Suttons Tankers with an urgent request at short notice, the transport company was happy to assist as quickly as possible.
A plant outage impacted a customer’s supply chain recently, which led Nippon Gases to step up and offer support to deliver the additional demand to cover the product shortage.
Working closely with Suttons Tankers, Nippon Gases put plans in place to provide their customer with the additional deliveries they needed to meet the increased demand.
Suttons Tankers was able to flex up and redeploy resource to cover the additional workload, delivering a 200% increase in loads over a two-and-a-half-week period.
Suttons has worked with Nippon Gases to safely manage UK logistics for CO2 gas for over 17 years and this longstanding relationship is a reflection of the excellent partnership and rapport built up over the years.
Suttons’ commitment to its core values of customer focus and teamwork ensured that Nippon Gases and their customer made it through the period of increased demand with zero impact to their supply chain.
Carl Wollins, managing director of Nippon Gases, said: “I would just like to pass on my thanks and share some positive feedback from our customer. They were very impressed with how we managed to step up our deliveries to cover the extra loads in January during the outage, well done everyone, great team effort.”
