ENFIT held a successful two-day conference in Brussels that covered a range of topics from transport hygiene to food defence.
Around 50 people attended the event at the Sheraton Hotel, next to the city airport, while dozens more joined in online.
Tank Cleaning Magazine was also in attendance to cover the various proceedings.
The conference kicked off with the organisation’s AGM where ENFIT’s founder Hands-Dieter Philipowski was elected president for another five years.
“It’s an honour to be heading this wonderful organisation for another term,” he declared.
Following the meeting and after lunch the conference began with a broad range of topics on the agenda.
Bjorn Haupt from Stockmeier spoke about cleaning concepts needed in the future to ensure transport hygiene while Juliane Dias, from Brazil, highlighted hygiene design and the impact on cleaning transport containers.
Hans-Dieter also took to the stage to discuss transport and food defence alongside greater digitalisation while ENFIT vice-president Vladimir Surcinski looked at certification requirements for transport.
Hans-Diter said: “I think it was a very good event – there were lots of topics that were discussed and there were many important points raised not only by the speakers but also by audience members through their questions afterwards.
“This is the first time we have held an event like this in a long time, so maybe we can do it again sometime soon.”
