ITT embarks on major international global expansion

ITT embarks on major international global expansion
For more than 25 years, ITT Group has been steadily building its reputation as one of Europe’s most dynamic and forward-thinking logistics organisations.  Established originally as a logistics company, ITT Group has grown into a multi-faceted group with a family of specialist subsidiaries – expanding into transport, cup operation cleaning, storage, maintenance and inspection services as a natural extension of its core logistics activities and integrated supply chain capabilities.

With a young fleet, a strong technological backbone and an unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability, the Group’s expansion into specialised services has always been driven by the logic of integration: the ability to offer customers seamless, end-to- end solutions under one roof.  Today, that integrated model is being replicated on an international scale.

ITT Group is preparing for its most ambitious chapter yet: a comprehensive logistics and infrastructure development programme spanning Egypt and Turkey, extending the Group’s operational footprint across three continents and  introducing European-standard logistics  and ADR-compliant tank services to new  and strategically important markets.

Alongside these developments, ITT Group has also strengthened its service portfolio through the launch of Navinext, its maritime transport company/forwarder established in 2024. Navinext expands the Group’s integrated capabilities into international forwarding, reinforcing ITT’s position as a fully connected logistics partner.

The ITT Global model: a blueprint for international growth

The foundation for ITT Group’s  international ambitions has been laid at its  flagship facility, ITT Global in Dilovası – long  regarded as one of the most advanced  tank cleaning and logistics stations in  Europe.

Its flagship facility, ITT Logictics in GEBZE – has long been regarded as one of the most advanced tank cleaning and logistics stations in Europe.

Established in 2018 on a site, ITT Global combines high-capacity washing lines, automated systems, environmental protection technologies and a broad suite of logistics services.

It houses four chemical tank and tanker washing stations and a dedicated food grade washing line, all operating simultaneously through a fully automated system.  The site also offers full and empty ISO tank storage alongside a total of 5,000 tanks for storage, heating services, maintenance and repair workshops, periodic testing and a comprehensive range of handling  and project logistics services.

What sets ITT Global apart is not only its scale, but its philosophy.  Every process is designed to minimise human contact, maximise safety and ensure absolute consistency.

Water is sterilised using ultraviolet systems, hardness is reduced to zero through advanced softening technology, and all channels and sediment pools are coated with GRP to prevent leakage and protect the environment. Wastewater is managed through underground balancing pools with crystal and injection systems, ensuring no harm to the surrounding natural environment.

This combination of automation, environmental stewardship and operational breadth has made ITT Global a trusted partner for international tank operators, chemical manufacturers and logistics companies.  It has also provided the Group with a proven, exportable model – one that can be adapted to new geographies while maintaining the same standards of quality and safety that have  defined the Dilovası operation.

A landmark investment in Egypt:  comprehensive logistics and infrastructure at Ain Sokhna and Qantara West

The most significant of ITT Group’s  new ventures is the establishment  of ITT For Logistics Services in Ain  Sokhna and Qantara West, Egypt.

This project represents not merely a new facility, but a comprehensive logistics and infrastructure investment designed to support the development of Egypt’s logistics sector.

These investments, supported by the vision and strategic directions of the Egyptian government, will make a significant contribution to strengthening Egypt’s export capabilities and enhancing its position as a regional hub for transit trade.

The development is located in Ain Sokhna, within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), on a 50,000 m² site positioned along one of the world’s most strategic logistics corridors.

Of the total site area, 10,000 m² is designated for a specialised tank and container washing facility, while the remaining 40,000 m² will operate as a bonded storage and logistics area.

The facility is expected to become operational in November.  The project will integrate tank services, logistics operations, maintenance activities and bonded logistics solutions into a single, fully connected platform. Key  components of the facility include:  • Tank cleaning lines;  • Storage yards;  • Maintenance workshops;  • Industrial wastewater treatment plant;  • Administrative buildings;  • Change a cup operation;  • Container storage facilities;  • Transport and logistics services;  • Operations designed and managed in  accordance with European standards.

The remaining land has been reserved for future expansion, enabling the facility to  evolve into a regional hub for specialised  logistics services serving Ain Sokhna, the  wider SCZone and regional trade corridors.

A second major development: Qantara West logistics and storage facility will open at the end of August 2026 and will provide the service covering an area of 50,000 sq m

In addition to Ain Sokhna and Qantara West, construction has already commenced  on a second 50,000 sq m logistics and  storage development in Qantara West.

Together, the Ain Sokhna and Qantara West facilities will create a 100,000 m2 logistics, storage and tank services platform, with a combined storage capacity of  approximately 15,000 full and empty  tank containers.

This figure relates solely to the Egyptian operations and does not include additional storage capacities available at ITT’s facilities in Turkey.

The Group’s roadmap also includes a third facility in Alexandria.

The project is planned to commence ISO tank cleaning and storage operations during  2027, further extending ITT’s integrated  logistics network across Egypt’s key  industrial and port corridors.

Bonded logistics and export infrastructure

A particular focus of the Egyptian  development is the establishment of  bonded logistics infrastructure – a critical  capability for supporting import, export  and regional distribution activities.

By developing bonded logistics solutions within the SC Zone, ITT Group aims to position its Egyptian operations as a hub for international trade flows, providing customers with the flexibility and customs efficiency required for complex cross-border supply chains.

This infrastructure is designed to support Egypt’s export growth strategy and its broader ambition to become a regional logistics and industrial hub connecting Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

ITT Group’s investment aims to deliver European-standard logistics, tank services and supply chain solutions while contributing to the country’s long-term economic development.

ADR-compliant transportation and new industry standards

The Egyptian facilities will also make  a significant contribution to the  development of ADR-compliant  transportation and tank logistics  infrastructure in Egypt.

Beyond cleaning, storage and maintenance activities, the facilities will introduce new standards in tank maintenance, technical services, component replacement, operational safety and logistics best practices – supporting the  modernisation of the sector and raising  the bar for the industry as a whole.

Partnership structure: United Egy Group and ITT Group

The Ain Sokhna project is the result  of a principal partnership between  United Egy Group and ITT Group.

This collaboration brings together Egyptian market knowledge and Turkish technical expertise, creating a platform for  technology transfer, skills development  and operational excellence.

ITT Global’s role is particularly significant:  the Group will provide the technical know-how, operational standards and advanced cleaning technologies that have made its Dilovası facility a European leader.

Through its partnership with United Egy Group as the primary local strategic partner, ITT Group aims to establish a logistics network that supports Egyptian exports while  delivering services in line with European  operational, safety and quality standards.

Economic and strategic benefits for Egypt

For Egypt, the project offers a compelling  range of economic and strategic benefits.

It will localise specialised services that previously required overseas support, reduce foreign currency outflows, strengthen supply chains for the chemical and petrochemical industries and  create skilled employment opportunities.  It also aligns closely with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the SC Zone’s strategy of attracting high-value, technology-driven investments.

Strengthening the domestic network: new facilities in Dilovası Tavşanlı and Mersin

While the Egyptian project marks ITT’s  first major international expansion,  the Group is also reinforcing its  domestic network in Turkey with two  strategically positioned new facilities.

Dilovası Tavşanlı: serving central and western Turkey

The Dilovası Tavşanlı facility will serve central and western Turkey – regions with growing industrial output and increasing demand for specialised chemical logistics. Like ITT Global, it will feature automated washing systems, heating services, maintenance workshops and environmentally protected infrastructure.  Its location will reduce empty mileage for tank operators and provide a strategically positioned complement  to the Dilovası site, ensuring more  efficient coverage across the country.

Mersin – A strategic port-centred  operation will open at the end of 2026

The Mersin investment consists of  a dedicated tank cleaning facility  strategically located to support  port-related logistics activities.  As one of Turkey’s busiest maritime gateways, Mersin connects Turkish trade with Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. By locating cleaning and maintenance operations adjacent to the port, ITT Group will be able to integrate tank cleaning, storage, heating, maintenanceand port logistics into a seamless service offering. This integrated approach will significantly improve efficiency for customers engaged in international trade.  Together, the Dilovası Tavşanlı and Mersin facilities will create a nationwide network that complements ITT Global’s existing capabilities and further strengthens the Group’s position as Turkey’s leading  provider of integrated tank services.

Navinext: expanding into maritime logistics

ITT Group’s commitment to providing fully  integrated logistics solutions was further  strengthened with the establishment  of Navinext, the Group’s maritime  logistics company, launched last year.  Navinext extends ITT Group’s service portfolio into international sea freight  transportation, enabling customers to  benefit from fully connected logistics  solutions covering road transport, port operationas and maritime transport. This investment further strengthens ITT Group’s position as a genuine end-to- end logistics partner capable of managing cargo movements from origin to destination across road, sea and specialised logistics infrastructure for: Barrelling; • Import and export loading operations; • Bonded logistics services; • Tailor-made project logistics solutions designed to meet individual customer requirements.

This integrated service model enables ITT to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of a tank container – from cleaning and inspection through storage, repair, heating and onward transportation, road transport and onward change cup operations including international sea freight via Navinext. It also enables the Group to respond rapidly to complex and time-sensitive operational requirements with a level of flexibility increasingly demanded by global supply chains.

One of ITT Group’s defining strengths is its ability to offer a complete suite of services under one roof. Across its facilities, the Group provides chemical and food grade tank cleaning, heating services, mechanical maintenance, welding, coating, valve replacement, periodic testing and full and empty ISO tank storage. It also offers handling services, container replacement, labelling, packaging, barrelling, import and export loading, bonded logistics solutions and a range of project logistics services tailored to customer requirements. This holistic approach allows ITT to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of a tank container, from cleaning and inspection to storage, repair,  heating and onward transportation – including international sea freight through Navinext. It also enables the Group to respond quickly to complex or time-sensitive operational needs, providing a level of flexibility that is increasingly valued in global supply chains.

Maintenance and repair capabilities

ITT Group’s maintenance and repair capabilities are among the company’s core strengths. Dedicated repair facilities are equipped to perform everything from minor mechanical adjustments to complete tank refurbishments. Periodic inspections – including two-and-a-half year and five-year tests – are conducted in accordance with TS EN ISO/IEC 17020 standards and certified, ensuring every tank leaving an ITT facility complies with the highest international safety and regulatory requirements.

Technology, safety and environmental stewardship

Across all its operations, ITT Group places a strong emphasis on technology, safety and environmental protection. The Group’s facilities are designed to operate with minimal human intervention, using automation to ensure consistency, reduce risk and enhance efficiency. Digital monitoring systems provide real-time visibility of washing, heating and maintenance processes, enabling rapid reporting and transparent communication with customers. Environmental sustainability is a core principle.

All washing channels and sediment pools are coated with GRP to prevent leakage, while underground balancing pools and advanced filtration systems ensure that wastewater is treated safely and effectively. Food grade washing lines use ultraviolet sterilisation and water softening to achieve the highest hygiene standards.

Heating systems are designed for energy efficiency and all operations are conducted in accordance with the norms of the Ministry of Environment and European environmental regulations.

ITT’s commitment to quality and safety is reflected in its certifications, which include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000, OHSAS 18001, SQAS assessment and EFTCO membership. These credentials demonstrate the Group’s adherence to international standards and its dedication to continuous improvement across every facility and operation.

A strategic vision for a connected future

ITT Group’s expansion programme marks a pivotal moment in its evolution – and a clear statement of intent about the kind of company it intends to become. With facilities in Dilovası Tavşanlı, Mersin, Ain Sokhna and Qantara West, and a third Egyptian facility planned for Alexandria in 2027, the Group is creating a powerful regional network capable of serving Europe, the Middle East and Africa with unmatched efficiency and expertise.

At the heart of this vision is a commitment to helping position Egypt as a strategic logistics gateway – a hub that connects continents, supports the country’s export ambitions and introduces European-standard logistics and ADR-compliant infrastructure to one of the world’s most important trade corridors. Through its partnership with United Egy Group and its investment in bonded logistics, integrated tank services and world-class operational standards, ITT Group is helping to lay the foundations for Egypt’s next phase of logistics development. As global supply chains become more complex and the movement of chemical and food grade products continues to rise, the need for high-quality, compliant and environmentally responsible tank and logistics services has never been greater. ITT Group is positioning itself at the centre of this landscape – offering a combination of capacity, technology, environmental stewardship and operational excellence that few competitors can match.

The Group’s expansion into Egypt, combined with its strengthened presence in Turkey and the launch of Navinext in maritime logistics, signals a long-term commitment to building a connected, resilient and future-ready logistics ecosystem. It is a vision rooted in innovation, driven by partnership and guided by a belief that world-class logistics infrastructure can transform industries, support economic growth and create lasting value for customers and communities across the region.
