Top accreditation for Abbey’s powder division

Abbey Logistics’ powders division in Dunbar, Scotland, has been awarded FORS Silver accreditation.
Additionally, the logistics company’s general powders depot in Middlewich has been awarded FORS Bronze accreditation.
These accreditations are the highest industry standards that recognise the importance of the quality of operations in terms of safety, efficiency and environmental protection.
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation for fleet operators, which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and demonstrate which operators are achieving the highest standards.
Kenny McCallum, Abbey Logistics’ Group SHEQ manager, said: “Achieving FORS accreditation goes much further than just having a safe, compliant and environmentally efficient fleet, which is a pre-requisite for any responsible transport company.
“FORS accreditation means the work we are doing at Abbey Logistics to support our customers and teams shows our dedication in managing and minimising work-related risk and our commitment to exceeding the industry standards. FORS standards also mean our operations demonstrate best practice and we consistently meet the demands of a recognised quality practice.
“We are committed to the highest standards of on the road safety, legal and environmental compliance, and customer care and we are delighted to achieve recognition for our work.”
