Vos Logistics finalises acquisition of SNEL Shared Logistics

Vos Logistics has announced that its acquisition of SNEL Shared Logistics was finalised on 6 January 2020.

Following the acquisition, Vos Logistics now has one of the largest distribution networks in the Benelux region, with 65,000 square metres of storage and cross-dock facilities in the Netherlands.

The company has strengthened its market position in the field of fine-meshed distribution, warehousing and cross-docking. The acquisition will increase Vos Logistics’ storage capacity to 315,000 square metres and its fleet to 1,400 tractor units.

Commenting on the news, Toine van Gils, managing director of Vos Logistics Solutions, said: "The acquisition is a confirmation of our good cooperation that has been lasting for many years. The cultures of both companies fit well together and we are complimentary in our services. This will certainly help us with the integration."

Peter de Vries, director of SNEL Shared Logistics, added that he was pleased with the positive reactions received in recent weeks from customers, staff and others about the merger: "In combination, we can grow better with our customers and take faster steps in the field of innovation and sustainability.”
